Imagine yourself on a European country tour without leaving Australia. This is what you can expect from the Castle at Bonville. If you are looking for an interesting holiday stay near Coffs Harbour, this luxury B&B escape is a perfect choice.
Walking into the lounge through the entrance, you will have the exciting moment seeing an impressive collection of medieval themed artifacts.
The Tower on the first floor is a spacious guestroom with solid double brick walls and the enchanting balcony which would send you back to the time of Romeo and Juliet. The exposed red brick walls with the arched windows give the medieval mood to the space.
On the ground floor, the arched cedar wood doorways lead you into the second guestroom – The Accolade Room with its separated bathroom and toilet. The dusty mauve-colour painted room has the garden view with the Great Dividing Range as the backdrop.
The classically decorated dining room with cathedral ceiling will uplift your dining experience. You may like to sit at the formal ten-seater dining table surrounded by the elegant cabinets filled with crystal and silver collections; alternatively, you may have your breakfast served at the small antique country style table for more intimate feelings.
You are also welcomed to have your breakfast in our light filled sunroom with lovely indoor plants, or in the open area beside the pool on the sunny days while listening to the birds singing and enjoying stunning mountain views.
Your ultimate castle experience won’t be fulfilled without strolling through the manicured gardens. Seeing closely into an opening flower, touching the leaves of different herbs and enjoying the fragrances, immersing yourself in the tranquillity of the surroundings, allowing yourself to slow down and rejuvenate in this relaxing country retreat.
You may ask your friendly hosts to organise a very special treat – star gazing around the fire pit in the garden.
When we were driving on Crossmaglen Road for the first time while looking for our place to live, we were amazed by the beautiful surroundings unfolding in front of us. We kept asking each other “Imagine that people live here…”. We felt like we were on our best holidays ever. The mountain views and the meticulously maintained hobby farms along the road had immediately made us feel welcomed.
Now, when our dreams have come true, we cannot wait to share our own castle experiences with our guests. We would love to see the shining smiles of our guests after finding their connection with nature and themselves.
Your friendly hosts,
Donald & Shan
