Gumbaynggirr Cultural Artefacts Talk by Glen Brown.
Glen Brown will represent the Yarrawarra Cultural Centre (Red Rock) and discuss the artefacts on loan from the centre with reference to their significance to the Gumbaynggirr people. This will include a discussion of the plant calendar, fishing, planting, body adornment, baskets, water carriers and storage, trade and ceremony.

Which Plant Is That? Talks by Rob Watt, Secretary, Coffs Harbour Branch, Australian Plants Society and Friend of the Coffs Harbour Botanic Garden.
Since Banks and Solander travelled on the Endeavour to parts of Australia and the South Pacific collecting samples, drawing, classifying and storing, a rich history of learning about the plant family has occurred. Rob will lead four information sessions on the achievements of Joseph Banks and Daniel solander, plant identification, naming and classification and the Coffs Harbour Herbarium and Seed Bank.

The Botanists Walk – Official Opening – Saturday 29 May, 10am at commencement of Walk
Following a welcome to country, representatives of Government, the Maritime Museum, Coffs Harbour City Council staff and volunteers, Friends of the Garden, and esteemed local botanists Alex Floyd and Barry Kemp, will attend a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open The Botanists Walk. The Walk provides new gardens and path which recognise the work of botanists pre and post colonisation.
